From May 1997 to June 2005, Reading Online was guided by volunteer editors and advisors who adjudicated peer-reviewed submissions and wrote or solicited feature content. The International Reading Association acknowledges with gratitude the contributions of these editorial teams, whose members are listed below.

At its January 2005 meeting, IRA’s Board of Directors voted to suspend publication of Reading Online. Although all content published in the journal will continue to be available, no new submissions are being considered for publication.
