Favorite Web Sites

There are numerous web sites that provide useful ideas and information on issues relating to technology in the early childhood and elementary classroom. A few are listed below. Children's Software Revue. The Consumer Reports of children's software.

SuperKids Educational Software Review. A good source for independent reviews of children's software.

Flat Stanley. Children in many classrooms worldwide have participated in activities related to Jeff Brown's Flat Stanley. In the book, Stanley Lambchop travels about the country, and in follow-up activities, children post pictures of places Stanley has visited and descriptions of his adventures to web sites. There are many Stanley web sites, but here are two you may want to visit:

Integrating Technology in the Classroom. This site, prepared by staff at West Loogootee Elementary School in Loogootee, Indiana, USA, presents a slide show on how to incorporate computers into the kindergarten and elementary classroom.
