Searching for information on the Internet can be slow using a single search engine at a time. Lycos, Excite, LookSmart, Snap, and Infoseek, for instance, do not necessarily search the entire Internet. Recently, however, engines have been created that combine several single sources in order to search more portions (but probably not all) of the Internet relatively quickly.
