Assessment in Media Education
|
Overview This article traces the work I have done in media education assessment and the journey I have traveled in doing that work. It describes the assessment instruments I have developed for personal and analytical response to media texts, student media productions, and sensitive issues in media texts, connecting them to reading assessment, writing assessment, and book selection and arbitration. It also describes a current project to develop a teaching strategy and assessment instrument for levels of critical insight. The article is presented as a hypertext whose pages are listed below.
